Regional News: "High Chair to Higher Education"

Brothers:

I wanted to share the photos of the "High Chair to Higher Education" Kickoff for the Southwest Region and T.C.A.C. hosted by Xi Eta Lambda Chapter.  On December 10, 2009, my school Pleasantville Elementary School hosted "Pastries with Parents" the Theme:  Building Healthy Relationships, "There is No Place Like Home".  The event provided useful information for moms and dads that assist with parenting skills and the dangers that alert our youth.

The High Chair to Higher Education portion featured a session hosted by Brother Ronald Peters who spoke to the dads about sexual responsibility and dangers.  The second session featured Speaker/ Author Michael Williams, "Dressed for Success".  This session involved 4th and 5th grade boys who learned about the various stereotypes of appearance and how dress may affect the types of job you obtain in the future.  All boys received neckties and learned the various knots used.  The young men were assisted by the chapter members of Xi Eta Lambda.

Special thanks to Brother Peters for authoring the "High Chair to Higher Education" curriculum and my chapter President Michael Jennings for his support.   Thanks again and enjoy, Click the view album link below.  This is only the beginning.
